Northeast State Community College is a public community college based in Blountville, Tennessee. It offers technical education and college transfer programs in Blountville and at teaching sites in Elizabethton, Gray, Johnson City, and Kingsport. The school enrolls more than 6,000 students.

CU welcomes new students each Fall and Spring semester. To be considered for admittance, prospective students must complete a formal application and provide the supplemental materials required for admission. Applications for the Fall are available the previous Spring, beginning April 15th and Spring applications open in the Fall on November 15th. Furthering your education with an advanced degree is an important investment in your future. CU is a distinguished institution that can prepare you for success in academia, the corporate world or entrepreneurship. Graduate and Doctoral programs start once a year each Fall. To be considered, students must complete and submit their applications by February 15th. For more information about graduate admissions and the corresponding process for each program type.

  • Completed Graduate School Application
  • Official transcripts for undergraduate program
  • Official GRE scores
  • 3 letters of recommendations (professional associates only, no personal contacts)
  • Statement of intent
  • Resume
  • 2 writing samples
